Does this property have an Application fee?

No, there are no application fees.

Is an advanced rental payment required?

Yes, to secure an apartment, the tenant must pay the first month’s rent and any chosen options in advance.

Is there a cancellation fee once I have secured an apartment?

Yes, early termination fees apply, and cancellations are treated as lease breaks.

Do I need to pay a departure cleaning fee?

Student Living by UniLodge can arrange for the professional cleaning of your Apartment. The cost to clean a room in 2025 is as follows:

  • $300 for a studio apartment.
  • $350 for a 1 bedroom apartment.
  • $400 for a 2 bedroom apartment (small).
  • $440 for a 2 bedroom apartment (standard/large).

Pricing is based on prepayment of cleaning prior to arrival.

If I want to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

The cost includes two weeks’ rent plus GST, a $165 advertising fee, and rent until the apartment is leased again.

What electricity costs am I responsible for?

Each resident pays for their energy as it is separately metered. UniLodge recommends Sumo as the electricity provider.

How much is the Internet / WIFI? Who is the provider and how much bandwidth do I have?

Internet and Wi-Fi are provided by Superloop, and unlimited Wi-Fi is included as part of the lease agreement.
 

Do I need to organise my own Contents Insurance?

What do I do if I, or my family need somewhere to stay prior to checking in?

If you or your family need somewhere to stay for a couple of nights to a week, or rest your head after arriving on a late-night flight, consider booking at Essence Hotel Carlton, which offers comfortable rooms.

What are your check-in times and days?

Monday to Friday, 11am or 3pm.

Do you offer after hours check-in?

Unfortunately, we do not offer check-ins outside of specified check-in times.
