What are your check-in time and days?

Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm.

Do you offer after hours check-in?

Yes, please ensure that you have notified us during business hours of your after hours arrival details so that we can prepare for your arrival. Once you have arrived please call the Duty Manager on 0448 093 906

How do I reserve a room?

By selecting on the room type you wish to reserve; you will be directed to the USYD website where you can submit an application online. Currently there is no availability for new bookings at this property.

What kind of contracts are on offer?

48 week or 26 week contracts are on offer to all USYD students.

What does my rent include?

A fully furnished room, all utilities are included, access to unlimited internet and Wi-Fi, use of our common facilities and ability to participate in our Residential Life Program.

Do you have car parking facilities?

Yes, you can lease a secure basement car park for $25/week. Speak to Regiment Reception staff about leasing one today.

When do I pay my rent?

Rent is due every second Tuesday. You can view if you have any outstanding charges on your account via the USYD student portal.  

How does my mail get to me?

Each unit has a letterbox which is situated on the side of the building on Darlington Road. A letterbox key is in your apartment. Parcels must be accepted by the resident or collected from the Post Office if instructed by Australia Post.

What do I need to buy before I can move in?

When you arrive, your room will be already furnished with a bed, mattress, desk and chair. You will need to provide your own linen. Beds are king single beds. Kitchen & Linen packs can be ordered via the UniLodge YourShop page.  

You can customise your room with posters, pictures and decorations. Essential items to bring with you are bed linen (sheets, pillow, doona, blankets), towels, washing powder, laundry basket, clothes hangers, tea-towels, personal toiletries and clothing.

How close is the nearest supermarket?

 There is an IGA 240meters away at 40 King Street. A short 3-minute walk. 

If I really want to move apartments/rooms after I move in – is that possible?

Room moves are subject to availability. You can move rooms within the building by speaking to a Regiment Staff member and submitting a request. 

Can I move out at any time?

A Booking Variation request will need to be submitted via the student portal. If you wish to terminate your lease early, you will need to pay an early termination fee of $200 plus rent until a new resident is found or until the contract end date, whichever is sooner.

Is there extra storage outside my apartment?

Beds are designed a little higher so you can put luggage under them however there is no additional storage outside of your room. If you have items you wish to store you will need to contact a local storage service provider.

How do I connect the internet/phone?

There is no phone in the room. For internet, you will be able to connect to the Residents WIFI via your USYD UniKey.

Is wireless internet available?

Yes we have unlimited Wi-Fi at this property and wireless internet through the building.

What is a Bond?

A bond is a payment that acts as security against the resident meeting the terms of their residence agreement.

How much is the Bond?

The bond is equivalent to 4 weeks rent.

What is an Inventory Report?

Upon arrival we must prepare an ‘Inventory Report’, which records the property’s general condition, including fittings and fixtures. You will be able to complete the Inventory Report via the student portal within the first 48 hours of moving into the residence. 

I am vacating, can I use the Bond for my last month’s rent?

Your bond and rent are separate payments. You are required to pay rent in the specified way up to and including the date of your departure.

What happens when I vacate?

You need to leave your apartment clean and tidy in the same condition as when you arrived, ensure all personal items have been removed and report any damage that may have been caused during your contract. This allows for a speedy bond resolution.

How do I receive my Bond back?

Your bond will be processed within 60 days of vacating the property.

If I wanted to break my lease, what are the costs associated with this?

If you wish to terminate your lease early, you will need to submit a Booking Variation request via the USYD student portal. You will also need to pay a $200 termination fee as well as rent for the remainder of the contract or find a replacement to take over.
